Baby Rooms
For us, our baby’s room may be just as important as picking his name.
We’ve done neither.
Yesterday, I started feeling a little antsy about both subjects. Since I don’t want to pick the name by myself, I’ve decided to focus on the subject that is easier: THE NURSERY.
Logan’s taking part of the finished room in our basement for his space. We decided that the boys are too far apart in age to share a room. {If we were having a girl, she and Alivia would be sharing!}
I think I’ve decided on light blue and green for the colors of this nursery. Mainly because the room is already painted a pale blue, and we have crib sheets and storage containers in the green from Alivia. I would really like to go with a dark colored crib to set off the light colors, but I haven’t totally decided.
Here are some of the nursery ideas I am tossing around for our baby boy’s space:
I think I want to paint a fun canvas series something like this. {Source: unique-baby-gear-ideas.com} |
Isn’t the alphabet idea cute? It reminds me of our basement playroom growing up. {Source: decorpad.com} |
I love the monogram & shelving above the crib! {Source: tips2home.com} |
I like the idea of decorating the ceiling! {Source: parents.com} |
I like the simplicity of this room. It’s classic, tasteful, and versatile. If it comes time to sell our house, the last thing I want is a bedroom that screams “I’m a baby’s room!” {Source: community.babycenter.com} |

So, what do you think?
I definitely think less is more when it comes to a nursery. I want to pick one thing and GO with it
I love preparing to welcome this little guy!
One thing’s for sure, Mommy & Daddy definitely still need some time yet to get ready 🙂

I'm anxious to get started! I have way too many ideas & not enough money at the moment. I think I've been doing kitchens for too long. A bedroom, and especially a nursery, is far too exciting 🙂
